Valeriusstraat, amsterdam
Two luxury apartments, one timeless vision.
Lower apartment
We excavated the basement from 1.80m to over 2.40m to create a full sleeping floor. A rear extension now houses a bespoke kitchen — a bold blend of stainless steel and warm wood — alongside a cozy library with floor-to-ceiling cabinetry and a calm living space centered around a gas fireplace. The use of natural materials like Carrara marble, rich wood, and restored original features make this apartment a breathtaking blend of old and new.
Upper apartment
With ceilings reaching 3.3 meters, this light-filled apartment feels grand and airy. We restored original en-suite cabinetry and continued these details in the woodwork and ceiling mouldings. The kitchen — designed in natural wood with a Taj Mahal quartzite countertop — reflects the same material palette used in the travertine bathrooms. A new rooftop terrace completes the transformation. Sophisticated, soft and bathed in light.
